What does your job entail? I’m the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Muse, a females-focused platform providing daily content across career-oriented topics. My job is to set the voice and the vision for everything we publish on The Daily Muse and on our integrated job search platform, Company Muse. This can mean anything from working with an author to craft a compelling hook for a story to rewriting copy on company culture at Pinterest so they’re better able to attract the right type of candidates. As a founder, I also handle a lot of “catch-all” tasks: researching the most cost efficient healthcare plan for our team, for example, or helping one of my co-founders strategize about our most recent fundraiser. On August 9th, HUWIB NYC’s Networking Night featured advisory board member Jennifer Hyman, Co-Founder and CEO of Rent the Runway. HUWIB and HUWIB Alumni members were able to meet other women in NYC, tour the Rent the Runway offices and participate in a round-table discussion with Jenn.
We are excited to announce four new City Reps for San Francisco: Lindsey Barnes (’07): Lindsey has worked at P&G in brand management, BCG SF in management consulting, graduated from Stanford GSB with a degree in general management. Nicole Villasin (’06): Nicole has been with Bloomberg for the past 5 years in various capacities, and is currently a strategic account manager looking after the largest buyside accounts on the West Coast. Winnie Yeung (’08): Winnie is a Consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where she focuses on applying private sector approaches to assist public and private sector organizations working to advance economic development in developing countries. Nimi Katragadda (’10): Nimi is a newly minted San Franciscan currently working for Google as an Associate Product Marketing Manager.
