Sponsorship Opportunities
In its efforts to educate and empower women about the opportunities in the business world, Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business partners with many businesses around America reflecting the various interests of our members- from finance, consulting, marketing, advertising, fashion, journalism, to social entrepreneurship. Opportunities to partner with HUWIB are throughout the year. Among our largest events:
New York Exploratory Trip: Every spring, HUWIB takes a highly selective group of approximately 40 girls to network and explore opportunities in the Big Apple. This year HUWIB will feature a two-track system, in which 20 girls who have expressed a serious interest in finance will be able to explore banks and boutiques while the other 20 girls have the opportunity to explore their alternative interests through visits to consulting firms, advertising agencies, and non-profit organizations.
IBC: Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business (HUWIB) will be hosting its 7th annual Intercollegiate Business Convention (IBC) this fall. After the success of last year's convention, attracting over 1000 women from top universities around the globe, IBC continues to inspire women to boldly pursue their career goals. By exposing participants to a vast range of industries and a wide network of professionals, HUWIB aims to redefine their conception of business. Conventions in the past have featured speakers including Bobbi Brown (CEO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics), Stacy Snider (CEO of Dreamworks), Christine Beauchamp (CEO of Victoria's Secret), Catherine D'Amato (CEO of the Boston Food Bank), and many more. Additionally, the one-day conference presents over 30 workshops and panels designed to introduce participants to the many opportunities that exist in business, as well as practice interviews and resume reviews. Past sponsors have included NBC Universal, Raymond James, Wal-Mart, Fidelity, Macys, J.P. Morgan, Barclays Capital, Citigroup, Blackstone Group, Oliver Wyman, Hewlett Packard, The Corporate Executive Board, Kaplan , Wharton School of Business, and more.
InFocus: The InFocus Program provides HUWIB associates with the opportunity to improve their business knowledge by exploring a fields like social entrepreneurship, finance, and consulting in greater depth. This year's spring 2010 program is InFocus: Nonprofit, which will cover topics from financial management to human resources to social entrepreneurship. We have a series of fantastic speakers lined up for April. Fall 2010 will see the return of our consulting and finance programs, in which associates will have the opportunity to further their learning and develop their skill sets under the guidance of industry professionals.
HUWIB always welcomes partnership opportunities. To speak further about a potential partnership, please contact Lauren Dai at laurendai@college.harvard.edu
