Young Women's Business Leadership Conference
November 4th - November 5th
YWBLC aims to bring together high school women throughout the nation who share a passion for business and build a community of support and empowerment for those young women.
In its inaugural year, YWBLC hopes to establish itself as an invaluable conference for high school women interested in business. It hopes to be a transformative conference that not only provides information and opportunity, but also helps high schoolers build a network of peers.
An exciting conference that provides high school women the opportunity to learn more about the business world, meet other young women who share their passions, and hear from industry experts on what it is like to be a female leader.
- WHAT IS HARVARD UNDERGRADUATE WOMEN IN BUSINESS?
Encompassing over 400 Harvard students, WIB is a club that strives to unite and empower young women interested in business. We are the largest business organization at Harvard and have many exciting opportunities for students to get to know undergraduates, professors, and industry leaders. For the past eleven years, we have run the largest student-run intercollegiate business conference in the world for women, known as the Intercollegiate Business Convention (IBC). Our mission is to empower future female leaders by uniting them through business education and experience.
- When is YWBLC?
YWLBC will be held Saturday, November 4th - Sunday, November 5th, 2017
- WHO COMES TO YWBLC?
YWLBC is a conference for high school women with an interest in business.
- DO I NEED TO BE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN YWBLC?
YWLBC is open to all students interested in participating. You do not need a formal invitation to participate, although we do reach out to a number of schools every year. Our registration process is first come first serve can be completed online at any time between now and October 25th.
- WHAT IS THE COST FOR YWBLC?
The regular price of YWLBC is $200 per student, and there is a group discount (offered for groups of 10+) of $150 per student.
- WHERE WILL YWBLC BE HELD?
The conference will be held in the Student Organization Center at Hilles, located in 59 Shepard St., Cambridge, MA on Harvard’s campus.
- WILL STUDENTS BE PROVIDED LODGING?
We will not be providing accommodations but we do have a list with recommendations of hotels in the area. Contact the conference co-directors at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in obtaining accommodations at one of our local hotels, which we have contracted for a special group rate. If booked independently, hotels rooms are between around $150 and $250 a night.
- WILL MEALS BE PROVIDED?
We found that it is more convenient to give students the freedom to get their own meals. Students will be able to eat at the great selection of restaurants in Harvard Square at mealtimes. Each person will be responsible for paying their meals.

- Dress, skirt or pants
- Nice button up shirt or blouse
- Jacket or blazer
- Flats or heels
- WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
You should bring a notepad and your resume if you want to have it reviewed.
- WILL ATTENDING YWBLC INCREASE MY CHANCES OF ADMISSION AT HARVARD?
While there is no direct collaboration between the admissions office and the conference, attending the conference does give students the opportunity to tour campus and talk to current students, enabling them to get a better feel of life at Harvard.
